"Let us not...flatter ourselves over much on account
of our human conquest over nature.
For each such conquest takes its revenge on us." -Federick Engels
Economics is the reason destroying Gaia. Throughout the existence
of the human race, which is contested as well over thousands of years, it has
been only the last few hundred years that Gaia has endured such pain. The birth
of the industrial age and hence modern economics can solely be blamed for
humanity's pillage and plunder of Gaia.
