Ever since the humans started to evolve and colonise larger area of Earth, mass extinction of other Earth inhabitants slowly become a common event. Wherever there is humankind, there will bound to be losses of species native to that particular to that environment. This characteristic has been observed and proven by archaeological evidence.

• The arrival of humans in New Zealand around AD 1000 has led to the extinction of 20 species of large and 22 other species of flightless birds due to hunting.
• As the human population spreads through the western Pacific, more than half of the indigenous species are wiped out by the Polynesians.
• The native Hawaiians eradicated approximately 35 to 55 species of land birds. In 1778, when Captain Cook arrived on the Hawaiian Islands, he discovered that only 50 species remained, and in the present day, it is estimated that at least one-third of these species is extinct.

Now, the humans are infiltrating Earth, the only place which life forms can call "home". Man's destruction of the Earth has led the loss of great numbers of species, and this action can never be justified. Who is Man to rule over all other life forms and decide their fates? What rights does Man possess over the other organisms when every Earth inhabitants is viewed at equal status in the eyes of Gaia?

Despite all these, Man still continues to invent new technologies to ruin the Earth, just because Gaia was benevolent and naive enough to believe that Man will turn over a new leaf. However, he was so deeply blinded by his impossible ambition to be the Ruler of Earth that he will resort to anything to make it come true. Man has invented genetic engineering and has been deploying this biotechnology to create a biological havoc that will destroy him one day. His manipulation of genetic materials in organisms for his sole interests will eventually land him in a very pathetic state, a state that he may never recover from for eternity.
