The Vidraru Lake - The Capra Lake - The Balea Lake
From the Capataneni Village to The Vidraru dam there are about 7 km.
A shelter can be The Cumpana Chalet (at about 22km from Capataneni) or
The Capra Chalet from where the path goes either to the Balea Lake either to
Capra Lake
Total crossing time: 7 and a half to 8 and a half hours.
The Balea Lake can also be reached by car on the Transfagarasan Road
The Vidraru Lake (The Cumpana Chalet) - The Podragu Saddle - The Podragu Chalet
Mark: blue triangle.
Total crossing time: 9 and a half to 10 and a half hours.
This is a splendid trip on the Buda Valley, from where there are many waterfalls to be admired.
Right before the Podragu Saddle the path is a little more steep and then the
Podragu Chalet follows.
