The City of Fagaras

    This is the city that shares the name of these mountains; it lies in the west of the Brasov county and its average altitude is 430m
    It is certified in old papers in 1393 and there were 45,426 people in 1995
    It is an industrial center: chemistry, wood processing, textiles
    As every large city in Romania there are also some monuments worth visiting either for their historical value, either for their beauty

One of these mounuments is The Fagaras Fortress (XVth - XVIIth century) with "The Fagaras Country Museum".
Another is The Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church (XVIIth century) built by Constantin Brancoveanu.
