The leveling of the climatic elements

The leveling of the climatic elements      There is a rough climate on this massif and the altitude determines a leveling of the climatic elements (temperature, precipitation, winds) hence the existence of the vegetation levels. The climate of the deciduous forests, the conifer forests and, at over 1800 m altitude, the climate of the alpine grasslands, classify these types of weather.
The Fagaras climate also presents particularities determined by the size of the massif and the ridges' orientation. The north slope blocks the cool, wet air, which comes from the Atlantic side and from the north of the continent, and the south one blocks the Mediterranean and tropical air, determining rising forest limits on the south side.
