Here are other projective tests that are still in use.
The Menninger Word Association Tests was developed by Rapa, Gill, and Schafer in 1968. The respondent is to say the first word that comes into his mind when the examiner says a noun, such as "Father", "Love", "Suicide" etc. 60 nouns are presented in the test.
The Rotter Incomplete Sentence Blank was created by Rotter and Rafferty in 1950. The test contains of 40 sentences such as "It pains me to¡K".
Draw-a-Person Test was developed by Machover in 1949. The respondent is requested to draw a whole picture two people of the opposite sex on a blank sheet of paper.
Good points of Projective Tests
The one main good point of projective tests are that the test taker doesn't know how the tester will use the responses. This will decrease the possibility of the test taker faking in a test. The second good point is that these indirect approaches can be useful to reveal unconscious parts of the person's personality. However, these responses should be interpreted with caution, for there is a great risk of inaccuracy.
