People with the INFJ personality type are often called "The Protector". INFJ is the most rare of all types - only 1% of the population has the INFJ personality type. INFJs are gentle, creative and complex individuals. They live in a world of hidden meanings.
INFJ are very concerned that things in their outer world should be in an orderly way. They spend a lot of their energy searching for the best system to get things done and they constantly re-define their priorities in life. They have the natural ability to know things intuitively and are usually accurate, without being to explain why.
INFJ's have uncanny insights into people and situations. Extreme INFJs might get strong feelings about there being a problem with a loved one, and discovering later that they were in a car accident. INFJs are quite private and secretive, as they only share something to others when they choose to. As a result, they are very difficult to understand.
On the other hand, INFJs depth of caring and warmth are valued by their close ones. The always want to prevent hurting anyone. INFJs are sensitive to conflicts, and one may drive a normally gentle and peaceful INFJ in to a state of charged anger. When under stress, INFJs have a great chance of experiencing health problems.
Because INFJs instincts are so accurate, INFJs tend to ignore other opinions, believing that they are always right. However, as perfectionist, they always believe they still need to improve themselves and the world. As a result, they are almost never make peace with themselves.
They have the need to live according to their strong value systems, and do what they think is right. Although they are gentle and easy-going, they have high expectations of themselves and their families.
INFJ is a natural nurturer; patient, devoted and protective.
INFJs like to work in areas such as science and art, where they can use their creativity and also work independently, and service-oriented professions, but not in areas where INFJs need to perform very detailed tasks
The INFJ is gifted quite differently that other personality types. Life is not necessarily easy for the
INFJ, but they are capable of great depth of feeling and personal achievement.
