History

One Religion: Judaism and Christianity two different religions? True...yet also false. Read the history behind these two faiths and how they developed over the years in accordance to Abraham, the founder of the religions, who encouraged the belief in one god and brought the people to the Promised land, Then there's Moses, who freed the Israelites from the rule of Egypt and entered them into a covenant with God. Discover how conflict and disagreements drew the two religions apart, which led to their different, yet also similar beliefs. 
 
The Birth of Christianity: As the new religion began to develop they encountered many difficulties along the way. The Christians were often persecuted until the Emperor Constantine became a Christian and made Christianity official religion of the Roman Empire. Consequently the Jew's suffered, they had suffered persecution in Roman hands but now they were also attacked by the Roman Christians. In response to this, the Jew's turned to each other and sought a way of life to preserve their identity as Jews. From this period developed Rabbinic Judaism in which all forms of Judaism today comes from. 

These Religions Today: As these two religions developed over the ages, differences in belief and practices gave rise to many different sects within each religion. These sects may have their differences by they are still part of either Christianity or Judaism. These two religions have survived through history and will continue to thrive in the future.
