Muffins
Ingredients
1/2 cup sherry
1/3 cup raisins
1/4 cup candied pineapple, finely chopped
1/4 cup slivered almonds
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Soak fruits in sherry overnight in a
covered container. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt,
allspice, cinnamon and sugar until well blended. Add egg, butter, and
milk. Stir together until well blended. Fold in fruits and nuts until just
mixed. Bake for 20 minutes.
