The After Life
As with most religions both Judaism and Christianity believe in some sort of after life. Christians especially have very strong beliefs about life after death, this is based on the resurrection of Jesus. It is a belief of an existence of a different kind. Despite common misconception, whether you go to Heaven or Hell does not depend on your behaviour but rather if you accept or reject God, anyone can enter Heaven - if they chose to accept God.

Like the Christians, Jews believe a life after death. There are many views on what this 'afterlife' will be like. Some think that it will be lived on earth, in a restored Garden of Eden. The Jews, unlike the Christians, believe that Heaven is made up of seven Heavens, the highest level being the one occupied by God and his angels. Some people believe that the state will be lived on one of the levels of Heaven. Others imagine there will be a paradise situated in a New Jerusalem and inhabited by the Messiah and his chosen ones a thousand years before Judgement Day, then after judgement has been passed, a paradise in Heaven would be occupied. This heavenly paradise is seen to be a place of greenery, streams and fruit bearing trees where the 'good' would live and give glory to God forever.
