[Professor's Laboratory] Planning meals
Lastly, we should learn some planning for our meals. Generally, ordinary meals include at least two dishes to accompany plain rice. If making two main dishes happens to be too difficult, a bowl of soup can substitute one of them. The ideal setting will be one steamed, one boiled and soupy, one fried for the dishes. Afterwards, perhaps fruits and other desserts can be added to finish up.
Here are some common examples for our daily essential meals:
Breakfast
a) congee + fish/meat slices + vegetables + fried dough + tea
b) noodles in soup + meat slices + vegetables + tea
Lunch
a) stir-fried noodles + shredded pork + tea
b) stir-fried rice + lettuce + minced beef + juice/other drinks
Dinner
soup + 2 main dishes/more + plain boiled rice + tea/juice/others
