Our team comprises Mrs Chow Lay Chin, Tham Yi Ling and Mildrid
Yeo. Mrs Chow is currently our Additional Mathematics teacher in Singapore Chinese Girls'
School in Singapore. We take 8 subjects in school, English, Chinese, Literature,
Elementary Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Geography.

After doing this web page, I have found out many other creative ways of presenting information on the Internet and I can say that I am starting to love the Internet more and more. It is this whole huge world full of information with almost everything I am interested in, from football to Cleopatra.
The Internet has now become my first choice for doing research and it has really helped in many of my other school projects. I started out making web pages by using simple HTML. Now I've caught on to Java and plan to learn other programming languages soon.
Initially, we actually chose a topic on different attitudes towards marriage in culture, but the page was never made because there was simply not enough information on many countries. So we dumped the topic and decided on this one, though I must say that Mildrid and I do not have a fetish for Home Economics. It was just a unique topic, something that we could learn much from.

Mildrid
I am Mildrid, and I am 15 this year.
My first experience using the Internet was horrible. Like all first-timers do, I got lost
and ended up in some"unwholesome" site.
My teacher Mrs Chow got me involved in this competition, and I joined it hoping to gain some knowledge on how to use other programs.
We actually had an overseas partner but he backed out half way without a word. It was a challenge to build this site because I had to balance my studies, extra-curricular activities as well as the building of this site.
However, I guess I managed to afterall. I enjoyed the process more than the ending though, and I am confident to say that I had gained a lot of experience in the process. You can contact me at aquatude@yahoo.com.
