Mao Zedong, Mao Ce-tung, Mao Tse-tung (1893 – 1976).

Communist leader of Chinese People’s Republic. Born in wealthy peasant family. In 1911 participated in revolution subverting empire. In 1912 – 1918 studied pedagogic in Changtsa University. Was a member of Chinese Communist Party from the very beginning. In 1927 brought to peasant’s insurrection which lead to Second Civil War. After Third Civil War in (1946 – 1949) proclaimed establishment of communist country Chinese People’s Republic. After Stalin’s death when communism in Europe was changed from totalitarian to authoritarian system, communism in China remained totalitarian. Mao Zedong is responsible for the death of approximately 65 millions of people.
