Although no specific trails have been constructed at the Cape Peninsula National Park, an unlimited potential for day walks exists. Suggested routes include a stiff climb up St. Paulsberg (366 metres or 1203 feet) via Kanonkop, for a magnificent panoramic view of the Cape

Peninsula, and a half-day, round trip, game-viewing walk across the veld (bush) to Sirkelsvlei, a freshwater, spring-fed lake.

Most of the animals found in the park are seen by ramblers on these trips but seldom seen by motorists.
