The fauna and flora of Cape Point is of a very unique type. The two oceans meet and this  creates such a unique variey of plant, sea and animal life.

The Cape Peninsula National Park, for example, has certain plants found nowhere else in the world. Fynbos, or translated into English, 'fine bush' has evolved to form an important part of the Mediterranean vegetation it grows in.

The animal life at the Point has also specially adapted to living so close to the sea. The best example of this is the baboon troop.

Lastly, the marine life is affected by the oceans that meet and mingle round the Point.  For this reason the marine life is very diverse and helps support sports like angling as well as other animals.
