According to
The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, a child is any human being under the age of eighteen. So if you were born 18 or more years ago, you're no longer considered a child.
There are Four Major Clusters of Children's Rights:
SURVIVAL RIGHT
DEVELOPMENT RIGHT
PROTECTION RIGHT
PARTICIPATION RIGHT
Include such provisions as adequate living standard and access to medical services with specific articles concerning survival and development, paternal responsibilities, refugee and disabled children, social security and children of minorities or indigenous population.
Development rights include provisions for education, access to information, play and leisure, cultural activities and the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion.
Protection rights cover those pertaining to all forms of child exploitation and cruelty, arbitrary sepration from family, and abuses in the criminal justice system.
Participation rights include the child's freedom to express opinions and to have a say in matters affecting his or her life. As capacities evolve, the child shall have increasing opportunitiesto take part in the activities of society as preperation for responsible parenthood.
