DENIZENS OF THE DEEP SEA

STINGRAYS

It has a long pointed beak-like mouth that could pierce its victim.   It also has a spiky or barbed whip-like tail which it uses to lash out at its victims.   

This would cause deep gashes and where we have some species having venom, then it could be dangerous.    

Though we could maintain that it does not go out to attack divers or fishers, a startled stingray could out at "intruding" divers or fishers causing serious injuries.
