DENIZENS OF THE DEEP SEA

SHARKS

These are cartilaginous and large predatory fish whose body are so flexible that they can twist 360 degrees whirling around.   They include the Great white shark, the Oceanic White , the Tiger, the Bull and the Sandbar among others.

They could be regarded as the "Masters of the Sea" feeding on other big fish eaters.   They are extremely dangerous and need not be provoked before attack. Always active and restless as they cannot stop swimming because they do no have air bladder but have oil-filled liver to aid buoyancy.

They have remarkable sensory systems of sight, smell and detecting vibration in their near and far environs. For instance, they could smell drops of blood in the water from over a mile distance, and detect colors (especially orange and yellow) and images from a long distance.

They are not really gluttonous (since they can stay for days without food) but could be so voracious when in frenzy feeding.  They possess large sharp teeth whose first bite could be massive and fatal to the victim.   A matured one could be as old as 17-19 years.
