Denizens of the Deep Sea
Deadly Fishes ![]()
Overview: A Comparison of the Chironex with Other Deadly Fishes.
The actual facts and figures of sea or ocean hazards could not be accurately determined. But it is a known fact that larger percent of these are caused by numerous creatures inhabiting the sea. These range from bodily injuries to maim and death depending on the type of creatures involved, the degree and location of the attack (deep sea, inshore or riverbanks).
The vital fact is that it a rare and exotic phenomenon that always make the victims helpless to the point of death. CF could arguably be described as the deadliest of these agents of death. It could kill more people than crocodiles, sharks, stonefish and pufferfish, all combined!
Bearing in mind that crocodile is believed to be the most dangerous land animal, shark, the most dangerous fish and, stonefish, the most venomous fish, we could not but emphasize the awesome danger posed by Chironex Fleckeri.
Further deduction here is that if none of these creatures could finish their deadly assignment at a faster rate than CF which could kill an adult within 3 minutes (where as pufferfish does so in 17 minutes, blue-ringed octopus does its own in 30 minutes, and death from sharks or large predators could easily be avoided and not even faster), then it behoves of us to say that this good for nothing angel of death aside been a meal to few not too useful predators, is the "mother of all marine executioners".
