Followed by the
transformation process,
laboratory tests on
stability and
safety are repeated for several generations of the genetically modified plant.
There two main kind of laboratory tests: laboratory tests and field tests.
Laboratory tests are used to check whether appropriate
DNA is
transferred. This ensures that the plant will grow properly.

The above pictures shows the test for the seedling of the beans. The modified seeds are tested by putting it on the agar in a Perish dish. The Perish dishes are then put into the refrigerator to keep it in condition.
Field
tests are done to check the DNA in the plant lead to a proper and health growth
of the plant. It is done to prevent
mutation of genes over generations. After
regeneration, a careful
selection of the product will be done to ensure the
quality.
Hence, the risk of generating poison will be greatly reduced.

Laboratory tests are done by both the producer and the government. This should be done serious for the sake of a high quality product.
