Creating Graphics

No matter what kind of operating system you are currently using, it probably had an image creation/editing program that came with it. If not there are many places on the web where you can purchase this kind of software, and sometimes you can find some good ones for free too. Once you have your software the tough part is learning all of it's features, but even the most basic programs should have the following tools:

Selection tool(s)- to select or "crop" large portions of an image
Color fill bucket- used to fill in shapes and lines with colors
"Pencil" or other freehand drawing tool- for drawing "freehand" lines
"Brush" or other freehand drawing tool with adjustable shapes/sizes- for drawing "freehand" lines, but with the ability to change the shapes and sizes of the "brush head" for different patterns
Adjustable oval(s), square(s), polygon(s), and straight line creator- used to make straight lines, smooth ovals/circles, perfect squares, and many polygon shapes
Color Palette- used to select different colors
Color Picker- used to select a color from an image so that the palete contains the same color

More advanced creation and editing programs have many more features, but of course they cost a lot more than the basic programs you can download for free. While this is only an overview of what the tools do and not a detailed guide on how to create graphics, we hope that you will now experiment with your graphics editor and see what you can do!
