Nutrition: The adult insects eat blackberry leaves but you should feed the young on acorns.

Development: It takes between 3 and 6 months before the eggs hatch, and you can expect to wait 4 to 6 months until they are fully grown. The adult insects live about 6 months.
Habitat: Phyllium celebicum is an inhabitant of cool, dry forests.
Special features: This species imitates leaves, which is one of the best forms
of camoflage. The males have a small white dot on each side of the lower body.
Keeping and breeding: A 55cm high terrarium should be big enough. The temperature should be about 25° during the day and 20° at night. You should spray the terrarium almost everyday with water, but watch out that you don't spray the leaf insects!
