Development: After the eggs are laid it is about 4 to 6 months before the first young hatch. It is then about 6 months until they shed their skin for the last time.
Habitat: You will find these insects in damp regions.
Special features: This species lays its eggs in the earth. They dig their lower body into the ground and then begin to lay the eggs.
Keeping and Breeding: You should have at least 5cm of earth in the bottom of the terrarium. Another possibility is to have 2cm throughout, and also set a dish on the ground with 5cm of earth in it, and the insects should lay their eggs in this. Aretaon asperrimus prefer a high humidity level.
