A Woman Called Egypt. This phrase has been used for many years to describe Cleopatra VII. Cleopatra was a very important political figure who often goes unnoticed or dismissed as simply an enchantress.
In reality, she was the last pharaoh in her dynasty and was very caring to her Egyptian subjects. She also was an important person in Rome, since she was an advisor to Julius Caesar and to Mark Antony.
This site’s goal is to help people learn about a brief period in her youth when her actions affected the entire ancient world.
With learning in mind, a play has been created to print and perform. The menu guides visitors through sections that assist in learning background about Cleopatra and Egypt as well as how this play can be performed. There are several activities in this section which would be nice for a classroom setting or just for fun. Throughout the site we have images that may be printed and colored or used for site activities. Please, feel free to use this site as a resource and to make suggestions by email. If you have ideas for other site visitors or other Cleopatra resources, please use the message board.
Thank you.
