|Midpoint of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. This is the highest point in the course. The runners can feel the nation's longest suspension bridge sway to the rhythm of 30,000 sets of feet. Runners on the left side of the field are treated to a fine view of the Statue of Liberty and the city. Those on the right see the open sea.||
