Is there an existing form of life on planet Mars? No, it has already been proven that there is no longer any form of life on planet Mars. Nevertheless it is possible that there could have been water and life at one time on Mars. Questionable images taken by various Mars probes have been available to us for the past 25 years, such as the following:

The Face

The face was taken by the Viking-Mission in 1976 from a height of 1873 km.

Here is the same face as on the previous photo taken by the Mars Global Surveyor with a much better camera on April 5, 1998 from a height of 440 km above Mars. One can observe that the first photo was only an optical illusion created by atmospheric conditions

The City

This image resembles a city sector with tall buildings arranged orderly. The Mars Global Surveyor took this shot on April 23, 1998 from a height of 400 km with a resolution of 2.7 m per pixel.

The Pyramids

The following shot was also taken by the Mars Global Surveyor and shows a triangular pyramid.

Motorcycle Tread Marks

The Mars Global Surveyor took this shot on April 26, 1998 and clearly shows two sets of traces on Mars's surface (arrow). The traces are 15 meters wide and stretch out over several km. These traces were not made by living beings but by so called "dust devils". This phenomenon is due to local meteorological occurrences namely something resembling mini-tornadoes that through heating and spiral spinning of air, build up on the surface of dry regions.

Unfortunately all of these images are only optical illusions brought about by special light effects. None of these pictures prove that there is or once was life on planet Mars.
