Karen Wu

            I am 16 years old and from the United States.  I first heard of the Thinkquest competition through my school.  My interest in Physics came from the Physics class that I was taking in school last year.  Around the time that we had to sign up for Thinkquest, we were working on Optics in my Physics class.  I realized how difficult it was to really understand Optics, and thought that the idea of building an Optics web site that could serve as a learning course was excellent. 

            We had to overcome many challenges in forming this web site.  In a relatively short amount of time, we had to write our articles, translate them, and design a web site that would be easy for a user to work with.  The distance that we are from each other made working together extremely difficult, but the Internet and its creations allowed us to cross over and communicate with each other.
