Experiment 5

Photographic Camera

Materials:

·        Cardboard box (4cm x 5 cm x 8 cm)

·        Black construction paper

·        Photographic paper

·        Masking tape

Procedure

1.     Build a box with cardboard with the following measurements: 4cm x 5 cm x 8 cm, and cover its interior with black construction paper.

2.     . Make a small hole in the front of the box and keep it covered up with a piece of masking tape.

3.     Place a sheet of photographic paper on the side opposite the one with the whole.  Be sure not to let the paper be exposed to light.

4.     To take the photograph, stand 5 meters away from the object that you want to photograph.  Place the camera on a stable place, and uncover the hole for about 10 to 30 seconds.  Cover the hole again, and develop the photograph.
