Heart disease is the leading killer among humans, but it doesn't have to be that way. There are measures that can be taken to lessen the risk of heart disease. There are many factors which can be altered, such as: diet, exercise, smoking, and level of stress.
Although
you can help prevent heart disease in the factors listed above, there are some
that you can do nothing about. Obviously, if you are old, there is a greater
risk of coronary heart disease than if you are young. Heart disease is more
commonly found in males than females. People with diabetes mellitus are also
at greater risk, as are people with inherited tendency to heart trouble.
If you take preventative measures in the areas of diet, exercise, stress, and
smoking, you will not only lessen your chance of heart disease, but it will
increase your quality of life as well.
