Orion and the Scorpion
Orion was the greatest mortal hunter of all time. He roamed the Earth with his two companions, the Big Dog and the Little Dog. Orion was also a braggart, a big one, he said that no animal could escape him. After a while this got the goddess Juno really mad, and she made a Scorpion sting his heel while he was trying to catch a Hare so Orion died. But there was a great doctor, the greatest doctor of all time, in fact, and his name was Aesculapius (Ophiuchus). So he brought Orion back to life. The god Pluto, King of the dead, got worried. What would happen to his realm if the dead were brought back to life? So he complained to his brother, Zeus (Jupiter). Zeus threw his thunderbolt and killed Orion and Aesculapius. Then everybody involved was put on the skies (along with the Hare Orion was trying to get). There were a few precautions made, though, Orion and the Scorpion were put on opposite sides of the sky, and there was an Archer next to the Scorpion, along with Aesculapius.
