When I was young I never imagined that one-day I will join a contest and my teammates will be people whom I have never met and from countries thousands kilometers away from me. But after I joined ThinkQuest with my teammates Emily (Australia) and Helen (USA) I found it very useful and I learned a lot from this experience. Of course it was very difficult to contact my teammates and also my coach Jason because he is also from USA and there is a great difference in time zone.

At last I want to thank some people who helped me a lot in making this project. First of all my family, father: who helped me to learn computer and supported me all the project time, mother: for being understanding and helpful all the project time and also my sister and brothers for their continued support. Special thanks for my teammates Helen and Emily whom I really appreciate them and I'm really looking forward to meeting them in the 2000’s finals! Also thanks to our coaches for helping, encouraging and guiding us to the right ways.

I was back from school at 3:00 o’clock on Monday October 12, 1992. While I was wearing my clothes I saw the mirror in front of me shaking strongly. I thought that my sister is shaking it to frighten me or something, but I discovered that the whole room is shaking and I saw cracks in the wall in front of me I was very frightened. I didn’t know what to do so I ran to my mother’s room and she told me to go under the bed, I felt that this earthquake took 2 hours but in facts it was only about 50 seconds. This earthquake’s epicenter was about 40 kilometers away from my home and it measured 5.8 on Richter scale. After this earthquake I tried to know more about natural disasters and specially earthquakes. The experience I gained from this earthquake is that you have to know more about such a disaster and how to prepare to it, because we can’t stop or control it, so I hope you will learn this things from Forces of Nature, enjoy your time and take care!
