- The area of maximum heating moves south to Indonesia.
- The ITCZ moves south.
- Jet streams go back to their winter locations. One jet stream is split by the high-elevation Tibetan plateau and streams eastward above China.
- Low-pressure cyclones migrate into the Pacific Ocean.
