Experiment: How To Make Fog

Materials:
Clear glass jar
Tea strainer
Ice cubes
Hot water

Procedure:
Fill the jar half full with hot water.
Rest the tea strainer over the opening.
Fill the tea strainer with ice cubes.
Fog should form inside the jar.

Why It Works:
The rising warm air from the hot water is cooled by the ice, causing the air to become saturated with moisture. The water vapor then condenses into tiny water droplets that are suspended in the air, forming fog.
