Rhythm
Names that consist of words all of the same tone are hard to pronounce and sound disdainful . Give a mixture of consonant sounds to give the name rhythm such as Ming Guo Hui. If you are intending on translating your English Name to a Chinese Name, you should not just use a direct translation in sound, such names are may sound beautiful in English, but remember in Chinese, the sounds will probably end up sounding like some vulgarities. However if such names are given some variations in sound, such as in a different tone or a lighter sound, the name will come out just nice!

Words Used
Names should not be profound and should not be composed of characters with many strokes. 1 rule is that anyone with some education should be able to decipher the words that make up the name: there is not point having a profound name which no one can read. Words that have two or more pronunciations should also be avoided, as they are prone to be mispronounced. Educated people tend to use more complicated words in their names, so as to show off their knowledge, however this is not desired as the real meaning of a Chinese Name in the three important factors-- Simplicity, Meaningful and Easily remembered.
