Synopsis: In the Degenerate Art scenario, students will portray cultural aspects through sculpture, painting, and architecture.
Objectives:
Research
must be conducted on background informaion about the types of scultpures
and presented in class. Students may choose various ways to present
the information using any visual items such as Microsoft Power Point,
posters, diagrams, etc. It is not required to have the presentation
or any visuals used in the presentation “auf Deutsch.”
After researching
sculptures, students may begin composing drafts and brainstorming outlines
“auf Deutsch” to prepare for the scenario.

Painting Sub Scenario:
Imagine
that you are a painter during the Holocaust. Your goal during the
Holocaust is to portray social history through degenerate art.
Objectives:
Research
must be conducted on background information about degenerate art and presented
in class. Students may choose various ways to present the information
using any visual items such as Microsoft Power Point, posters, diagrams,
etc. It is not required to have the presentation or any visuals used
in the presentation “auf Deutsch.”
After researching
degenerate art, students may begin composing drafts and brainstorming outlines
“auf Deutsch” to prepare the letter.

Illustrating Architecture Sub Scenario:
Imagine
that you are a Bauhaus school architect duing the Holocaust. Your
goal is to portray the element of social history during the Holocaust.
Objectives:
Research
must be conducted on background information about the architecture during
the Holocaust. Students may choose various ways to present the information
using any visual items such as Microsoft Power Point, posters, diagrams,
etc. It is not required to have the presentation or any visuals used
in the presentation “auf Deutsch.”
After researching
architecture during the Holocaust, students may begin composing drafts
and brainstorming outlines “auf Deutsch” in order to prepare for the scenario.
