Translation

Functional mRNA molecule is transported outside the nucleus to the cytoplasm where ribosomes attach to it. mRNA is read from 5’ end to the 3’ end, the signal for starting translation is codon AUG. It is spotted by a special tRNA that begins each polypeptide with amino acid metionine. Amino acids from a complex with corresponding tRNA molecules that spots complementary sequences in the mRNA matrix. Then tRNA attaches to mRNA and it’s amino acid become part of the synthesizing polypeptide chain. tRNA molecules attach to the succeeding triplets adding amino acids in the proper order. The stop signals are codons UAA, UAG, UGA.
