There is a quite difficult riddle about the legendary wild man of the Himalayas: the Yeti or Abominable Snowman. We hope that after reading this piece of information, you will be able to solve this riddle.

Yeti are usually said to be six feet tall or even taller. They have very large feet, about 20 inches long. As a matter of fact, it is from where its name "Bigfoot" was derived. These creatures are said to be indefinable. They are heavily built, hairy and apelike with their dark or reddish brown fur and their facial features quite resemble those of a human being. Their means of communication are grunts, cries, or whistles. They seem to have a pungent and musty aroma, in other words; they are malodorous. That is why, in Florida the Yeti, known there as Sasquatch are commonly referred to as the "Skunk Ape". They are commonly said to travel in pairs and most of the times they have been seen searching for food. The creatures seem to be omnivorous, eating both plants and animals. Sasquatch may have telepathic abilities.
Many theories exist as to explain the origin of the Yeti. Some theorists propose that the sightings are of an unknown species of ape (rare intelligent cold climate ape, to be exact) or of isolated surviving Neanderthal specimens. Somehow, their activities have been connected with UFOs and some have actually stated that they ARE extraterrestrials. They may be visitors from other planets, escaped creatures from alien spaceships. Occasional stories even link Sasquatch activity to cattle mutilations. It is even possible that they are the result genetic experiments crossing human and extraterrestrial DNA.
At the best or worst, they also may not exist at all. However, it has been argued that the extensive presence of this specimen in folklore indicates that they have actually existed since ancient civilization and may still inhabit distant regions of the earth.
Over the years, investigators have inspected the local folklore of areas where sightings of the Abominable Snowman have been reported. They have collected casts of footprints, film recording (that may be fake, but really and truly exist), and devised schemes for the capture of the creature but the alleged physical evidence-footprints, body parts, and indistinct photographs-nevertheless remains confusing. Skeptics doubt the existence of the Abominable Snowman and its counterparts because conclusive physical evidence has not been found. Also, the sightings often occur in remote areas and from a considerable distance. Either the chances of mistaken identification are great or it may be a good place for making money and not to find proofs. Some regard the contemporary reports of the Abominable Snowman as more or less modern variations on an ancient mythological theme. Indeed, these sightings have proved to be hoaxes. Sceptics interpret the Abominable Snowman sightings as a reflection of the modern fascination with the wild and the popular sense that a few pockets of wilderness remain in a world dominated by civilization.
But stubborn sceptics insist these are hoaxes. In 1967 Roger Patterson took film tape of a large hairy creature reported to be a Sasquatch. If legitimate this is clearly the most extraordinary crypto zoological evidence yet. However, an explanation could be given: it may only be Roger's tall associate Jerry Romney in a fur suit.
If it interests you, you can check out the hotspots for the Bigfoot. They are British Columbia (Canada), Washington State, Oregon, and California. Florida and Pennsylvania. But be careful: it may BE DANGEROUS!!! Oh! Don't forget to bring your trifle as it may become complicated. Or it might be a great opportunity to seize to become famous for having killed one.
