In spite of a serious investigation, the apparition in "mass" of November 1635 remains an egnima. Things happened after the batal of EdgeHill in the Warwichshire which opposed the troupes of king Charles1, under the orders of his nephew, Rupert to the partisans of the Parliament commanded by Oliver Cromwell. This first battle of the British civil war was not decisive but left 500 corpses on the slopes of Edgehill.

One month later, a great number of shepherds saw at the same place what they took for a new battle. Everything was there: the cavalry, the smoke from the cannons, even the sound part: the neighing of the horses, the moaning of the wounded...

Only when everything vanished that the witnesses realised that they saw a phantomic vision. The day before christmas, the vision appeared one more time. The King nomminated a commssion of about six clergymen to enquire about it. Not only did they question the shepherds, but they also witnessed the scene twice, recognizing deads but also those who remained alive such as the Prince Rupert.

What should we conclude? Was it a sort of repetition of the action?
