Try our custom made trivia game, playable online. Test your knowledge of Tolkien's famous trilogy as you try to get into the high scores! Questions range from embarrassingly easy to impossibly hard. Beasts. Beasts like horses. Like horses, except, with one great horn in the middle of their heads! Many men went in search of these great creatures. Some hunted them for their lifetime. These men were unicorn hunters. You can still scour the forests today for these creatures, but you'll probably be more successful hunting through the pages of World of Fantasy, where fourteen unicorns abide.

Find treasure, train animals, increase your strength and stamina as you dodge monsters, and gain experience as you actually battle it out to the death. Learn magic and blast your enemies from the other side of the dungeon, or learn to heal your dogs. It's up to you whether you survive for minutes or for months. Once you play this game you see why it's got one of the biggest followings of any freeware game on the net. Of course, if you really detest ASCII, this might not be your thing.

Wanderer of Absu is a graphic adventure set in the mysterious world of Absu. You must explore the land, find its secrets, and try not to die young. If you liked Myst, or if you've played a lot of those old text adventures, you'll probably like this game. The visuals are good, and the great music keeps the atmosphere eerie. Created by the talented guys at Absusoft.

Dark Ages
Dark Ages is a rather typical RPG. Name a character, walk around a map, incounter bad guys, enter cities, and pull out the story line. While the down sides of this game include relatively poor graphics, no character selection, and no recruiting, it is definitely worth the download, and can be quite fun. Mike Hoopman and his boys at Dark Knight Software are currently working on the very impressive looking Dark Ages 2.

"A man, known only as Mr. X, has been working on a prototype time-altering machine, which would allow one human to be transported to the past or future. Mr. X knew, with this machine, he could eventually take over the world by altering events in history, and even take his own country hostage by bringing back weapons of war from the future. His plan was flawless, but a bug lurked inside of the computer code stored inside of his machine's memory banks..."
So begins A Journey Through Time. You play the role of Lark Wilson, a nice, if not too bright, 15-year-old kid, who accidentally gets mixed up with Mr. X. Stranded in an unknown world, he must explore... What comes of his exploration is up to you. AJTT is a relatively pretty game with a good interface. It is well thought out, and doesn't overpower you with bugs. The plot, however, is a bit lackluster, and the action screen is too small. Go to Psycho Software's home page to see more of their stuff.

You feel dizzy, the world is turning black, everything is spinning... "You! You must help us!" "What?" you say, "what's going on? Where am I?" "Our water has been turned pink!" yells a bearded man running toward you, "our destiny depends on you young man!"
I'm a girl. A red-headed girl.
It is up to you to save the world. Explore, find treasures and weapons, kill the nasty village boys, and, well, save the world. Where there's a red-head, there's a way. This game's interface is relatively good, and the graphics are okay. The 320 by 250 screen size is definitely too small though. From the creator of "Maniac Island."
