Layers of the Atmoshpere
The atmosphere is divided into five main layers plus the ionosphere. It extends over 430 miles (700 km) into the sky.

The key in the picture is incorrect. The correct key is below:

  • Blue - Exosphere
  • Yellow - Thermosphere
  • Purple - Ionosphere
  • Orange - Mesosphere
  • Pink - Stratosphere
  • Green - Troposphere
