{Six Flags, St. Louis By Kyle}

Six Flags Theme Parks are all over, but this one happened to be closest to me. My family and I took a vacation there, riding many of their coasters. There never was too long of a line for the older coasters, but for their two newest ones, The Boss and Mr. Freeze, lines were long and slow. Still, what else can you expect from an amusement park?

The Boss
The newest coaster at the park, the Boss is a giant wooden coaster with 5,051 feet of track and forces of 3G's. Let me tell you, I felt them! The Boss was a very cool coaster, probably the best wooden one that I have ever been on. However, it would have been one of my favorite if it weren't for the fact that it hurt so much. I came off of the Boss with bruises on my legs, just like others who rode. I guess it just goes to show you that you shouldn't be a guinea pig, like the guidelines in the safety section say! Overall, I'd say this was a really great coaster, but it will be a lot better when they revise it.

Mr. Freeze
I actually didn't ride this one; I chickened out. Blasting off from 0 to 70 miles per hour and with forces of up to 4G's, Mr. Freeze would definitely get a black diamond sign if they were required. After blasting off and going in high-banked turns and loops, the car shoots straight into the air, then falls back down and does everything again-backwards! If you really like high-speed thrills, Mr. Freeze is definitely your coaster!

The Screamin' Eagle
I did ride this coaster. At 110 feet tall, there was plenty of room for drops. Actually, that's all there was. Despite the fact that there wasn't much excitement for the thrill seeker, I'd say the Screamin' Eagle is one for those who enjoy high speeds and lots of gut-wrenching drops. It wasn't as rough as The Boss either!

Shown here is a photo of the Screamin' Eagle trying
to get a good shot of the sign, we were delighted
when a car rolled right into the picture.

The Ninja
Another coaster I did not ride, the Ninja includes a clothoid loop and a double corkscrew. This ride would have been fun for thrill-seekers, but was also painful, according to those who rode it. However, if the coaster was not so physically stressful, The Ninja would have been a great coaster experience.

River King Mine Train
Hardly even a coaster, this ride is for the weaker of stomach. Beware, though, of the drop in the dark at the end! I enjoyed the calmness and easiness of the ride. Although a little painful as well, I still had an enjoyable ride. If you're looking for a break from the bigger megacoasters, the River King Mine Train is a great choice.

Batman the Ride
This inverted coaster was excellent! As you dangle from the track above you, you hardly even remember you're on a coaster. Despite the loops and turns, the smooth ride is great. Batman the Ride is great to watch and ride. It deserves high marks, for being a great coaster, and for being painless, which is more than I can say for the other coasters at Six Flags in St. Louis!
