My grandfather, Karl Hackstetter, was the last Director of Fokker Werke in Schwerin 1918-1919. He was a good friend of Udet. Ernie Udet was given a cigarette etui by my father which had all the aces names inside the case.He(Karl Hackstetter) had taught many of them when he was the Chief Technical Instructor of the Rumpler Military Fliegerschule at Muncheberg 1915-1918.Try to find that anywhere! |
