Jackson's three-horned
chameleons are sexually dimorphc. The male is
larger in size and has horns. Body ornaments
in the form of horns, casques, enlarged scale
flaps or ridges are found in many male
chameleons. These can be used for display but
may also be used as weapons. Males will
vigorously defend their territory against
rivals. The body ornaments such as horns are
used in these territorial battles.
