Want to make a difference? Here are some suggestions. Write to the leaders of your region The government takes a big role in protecting animals. By writing to representatives of your country or region or organizing a petition, you can urge them to take action on helping the wildlife in your area. Organize an effort on your own You can organize a project to protect wildlife on your own. Ask experts from the Internet or the local zoo who will certainly be glad to advise you. Ask friends or people who care to join your group. Then, advertise your project to get more people to become a part of your organization. Do little things to improve the environment Recycle the paper you use, throw trash in the garbage can, don't pollute, create your own composting bin. Urge your neighbors, family and friends to do the same. If everyone did their part to improve the environment, many animals can be saved. Choose a Career in Zoology or Biology The best way to get involved in conservation is to choose a career in that field. Whether it's working at a zoo, a laboratory or in the wild, the life of a zoologist or biologist can be fascinating. Get involved at the zoo Many zoos offer programs for volunteers. Whether your a senior citizen or a teenager, you can ask your local zoo if it has programs for the public. |
