The UN is an organization that provides humanitarian and peacekeeping assistance to many countries. It was started in 1945 with 51 participating countries and today has over 150. The site has maps, audio and visual information and a lot about current happenings. Peace Corps is run by the US government and gives people a chance to do volunteer work for two years in another country. Volunteers do anything from help farming to fixing bridges. Maybe you will want to try this when you get older! Peace Corps Kids World is a place where you can learn many ways to make a difference in our world. It is also run by the government. This organization created a list where people can sign there name, showing there devotion to having world peace. You can sign your name and be part of the community. Artists Without Borders is an organization that provides relief for victims of war while at the same time promoting talented artists' work. There will be a World Peace festival very soon. This organization has a program for kids called Peace Pals. Congress.org is a place where you can write to congressmen telling them your views so they can act upon it.
