   14 years old

Canada is just like where you live it is no different, only it is a free country. Everything is ordinary to me. The east coast is different though it has the big rocks that you can go and see. Out east is different because they go with their coltcher, they go with out electricity and they use candles for their light.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

    Maegan
    13 years old

Hi, I'm Maegan, I'm 13 and from Colorado. I guess life in Colorado is pretty much like any where else in North America, except everyone has this thing for skiing and snow boarding, oh yeah, and we make fun of tourists who come up here, and have hard time breathing...in Pueblo. (LOL) I live on a ranch I share with two dogs, two horses, and six cats. We live on the plains, where it gets very windy, and the snow drifts high, and we can hear the coyotes howl (REALLY!) . When we get lots snow, we can't go horsebackriding, but we do snowboard on the dry dams. We go down the sides, and pretend the dried up ravines are half-pipes. We also own a little bit of mountain property, that's where Mom and Dad want to retire. We have an old wood shack, that we converted to the a cabin. We have many aspens, and even a trickeling creek in the spring time. I think when people think of Colorado they think of skiing and stuff, but what they fail to realize is the history of our area. We live where Native Americans are said to have camped, And because of the space between us and other towns (there ain't a house in sight), we can hear the train near Castle Rock, a cross roads for an ancient trail. One family has lived in this are for 150 years! One 90 year old man had his Sears & Robuck house moved out here by train! He still cuts his own hay for his horses. The people here are hard workers, and yet we class mixed in our history, found at the Glenn Erie Castle, and the Broadmoor. I am very proud to be a Kolorado Kid.

    Michelle

Michelle is from Montana and says about her life there... "I'm not a very sporty person, but I play recreation softball in spring. I'm more into technology, and thinking rather than getting fit. I like to draw, paint, make web graphics, design, learn about cultures, debate, play the violin, AND, of course, make web pages. I'm a big moviegoer. I like all genres especially action (with good plots), drama, comedy, historical documentaries (u must think i'm crazy). Have you seen The Matrix? That's one of the top ones on my *list*. Sci-fi really gets me. I'm into Japanese animation also. As for music, i'm the same, I'm not "loyal" to one category. Ya know, whatever goes and is entertaining. if I wanted to be anywhere, I'd be in Japan or somewhere in Asia, because of the discipline towards education (need some of that). Nothing big ever happens, but then again, nothing ever does in a small town. that's why I like the internet so much. It gives you the opportunity like no other to explore our small world with its diverse cultures."
