Hello, and welcome to Global Pals! "Global Pals" is the place where people from all over the world can meet one another. It's the place where friends can exchange poetry, stories and reports. It's the place to visit when forming a report, so you can get first-hand information about different regions of our world, from people who actually live in the Middle East, the Americas, Australia, Asia, Indonesia, Europe or Africa.
The idea behind "Global Pals" is that most of the problems we face come from the fact that we don't know the people with whom we share the world. To solve this problem and make peace in our world, we need to get to know, our fellow human being, our friends, so we can understand each other. That is why we have put our talents toward this web page. It is our effort, small that it might be, to bring peace to our world, so we can look upon people from different countries, and include them in our Circle, our Globe, of Pals.
PEACEFUL WORLD
War brings
Misery, suffering, and pain.
Victims of the war,
Live every day in vain.
More innocent lives are claimed
With each passing day,
What have we kids done wrong?
Why do we have to pay?
War can be described
As people murdering each other,
They often also take the lives
Of a dear sister or a brother.
War is a time
When the world's gone mad,
People have turned against each other,
It's all so very sad.
And I wonder why the cause
For such hatred and furry,
Every single day,
One of us we bury.
War is so useless,
It only makes things worse.
So people try to solve things,
By using a lot of force.
They don't care who they kill,
They don't care what people perish,
It might be a mother or a father,
Someone we truly cherish.
A peaceful world,
Without sorrow and pain,
Without people
Going insane.
Isn't that the kind of world,
That brings a smile to everyone's face?
And we could all live in harmony,
No matter our skin colour or race.
What could we do,
To put things at rest?
After all,
It's only for the best.
If we work together,
Things won't be so bad,
No wars will break out,
People won't go mad.
Let's fight for peace,
And fight real loud!
Let's make our voices heard,
Let's make the world so proud!

Our Global Pals reporters caught up with Kerry from England, this is what she had to say...
What do you like about living in England? I was born in Wales & I moved to London when I was very young and I haven't been abroad yet. But what I do like about living in England is the nice country sides we have and shops and all the old buildings.
What I don't like about living in England is, all the cold weather & because it always changes.
Where is your favorite vacation spot in England? Devon in cornwall.
What are your interests? cycling, reading, writing, school, brownies, dance class, church, kick boxing, computers, art club & netball.
6 year old Adam from England, had his parents write this about him... What he likes about living in England is the house where he lives (quite old, built around 1570), lunch at the pub and picking strawberries and making jam. He hates the rain and short days in winter.
His major interests these days are pokemons and diggemons (I don't even know what they are) and tennis. On the weekends it depends what we are doing (Adam is not yet 6 so he can't go off on his own) but he likes movies when there is one on for him, he has tennis lessons and wants to take up karate in the fall. He also likes to go to one of the several play areas around.
