Introduction

There are a lot of web-sites about the Sun and the Solar System on Internet. But most of them are for professional astronomers who have devoted their lives to gathering data and helping science to make a step ahead. Some are the result of the work of amateurs who put the sites as a section of their home page, along with the other hobbies of theirs. Such sites are usually visited by very few people. Accidentally, a web-site with educational objectives may be found. But even then the information provided is onsufficient andd not carefully selected. Our site appears just in time to fill this hole in the World Wide Web. Built from students for students, it is a useful tool for teachers and educators around the globe. As language may be a difficulty, we have tried to give access to the site to more people through providing the information in 3 languages- English, German and Bulgarian. The web-site explains in simple words the structure and origin of the Sun and the Solar system, the place of the Sun in the Universe and the connection between the Sun and the Earth. There is also an explicit information on Solar Eclipses with special focus on last year's Total Solar Eclipse. Furthermore, the site follows the believes of ancient people about the Sun. There are a lot of tables, schemes and photos to help the reader acquire the information. Quizes check to what extend the visitor is familiar with the content of the web-site.
