When the Dutch king gave no more money for the maintenance of the observatory, Tiho Brahe went to Prague. Here he teamed up with Iohan Kepler, who inherited after the death of Tiho Brahe the invaluable results of his years-long astronomical observations and calculations. On their ground and especially on the ground of the materials about the rotation of Mars, Kepler discovered the planetary motion laws, which became the basis of theoretical astronomy.
