- Students should be able to describe the hardships undergone by three communities in Japanese-occupied Singapore by gathering information from print and non-print media or by conducting interviews with relevant people.
- Students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of these hardships and their impact on the lives of these people.

- In pairs, students are to search the Internet, or any other print and non-print material to gather real life descriptive experiences of people from three communities in Singapore during the Japanese occupation.
- Once the students have collected and collated their resources, with proper permission and references, they are to return to the Syonan-to Relived website.
- Click on Guestbook or e-mail link to submit their entries by following the instructions given.
- Give an oral presentation of the descriptive experiences they have collected with the aid of a MS Powerpoint slideshow.
